Description

Following on from last year’s successful meeting, the University of Bath's 5th annual HPC Symposium will take place on Thursday 9th June 2016.

The aim of the symposium is to provide a forum for current and prospective users of the University's new Balena HPC facility to network and exchange ideas. The one-day event will give users the opportunity to get an overview of the broad research being done by the growing HPC community at Bath, and to discus their own work with others in an informal setting.

The day is loosely planned to include keynote lectures (more details to follow) alongside talks and poster/flash presentations by Balena users. As is tradition, prizes will be awarded for the best talks and posters.

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided during the day, and there will be an early-evening networking event with pizza and refreshments.

The meeting will be held in the Chancellors' Building, Room CB2.6; further details, including an up-to-date schedule and information about abstract submission, can be found at http://go.bath.ac.uk/hpc-symposium.
